Easter Festival at Ravensburg

Happy Easter! (sorry if it is too late)

Easter is the most important religious feast in the Christian liturgical year. Christians believe that Jesus was resurrected from the dead two days after his crucifixion, and celebrate this resurrection on Easter Sunday, two days after Good Friday.

This year in Germany, the Easter break is 4 days: Apr 10-14. However, some people may take 1 week more off. Saturday after the Good Friday, I went down to the next-closed-big city, Ravensburg, to join the Easter celebration. My first Easter celebration was in New Zealand, I got an Easter rabbit from my host parents. My second Easter was in United Stated, I got nothing :P. This year was my third Easter event.

In Ravensburg, that day, was very lively. I had never seen such this many people in Ravensburg before. There were many activities for kids. All restaurants, outdoor and indoor ones, were crowded. The weather was just excellent, you could walk with wearing only T-Shirt and shorts. I spent half a day for fashion shopping, tried so many clothes but could not find the right one(I had only 30 Euros in my pocket, poor me).

In the late afternoon, I saw a new couple, riding on the horse carriage to celebrate their marriage. People clapped their hands when the carriage passed them. It was the wonderful moment, I was in.

The sakura trees in front of my flat are blooming. They are just beautiful :)

Have a good day and thanks for reading :)
